ARE PICTURES COOL? KISUMU MUMS FIGHT!!

ChristineRiaroh

One of the Kisumu’s biggest social media groups on Facebook has been on fire for the last couple of days….Women have fought and fought…but for a good cause! I think.

Of course a majority of our problems as women are commonly caused by men but in a twist at the endan exodus to the dads seemed to have offered the much needed solace.

A problem arouse a few days ago when one mum posted a picture of her alleged sister who had been allegedly brutally battered by her husband and was seeking help. The picture showed the woman in bandages, cuts and a very swollen face.

The comments started to flow….The pity party, the ‘elites’, the law enforcers, the family members, the activists, the curious, health care workers and then boom! the admins of the group commented with a caution that they had been advised that graphic pictures e.g. of…

Being part of generation Y, its not easy being in the world for 2 decades without having that special person aside.Nowadays people start dating from as early as 10 years and it goes on till one dies. Some do it to please others, some for money extortion which is the most common and others do it because as part of growth everyone is bound to get a companion at some stage in life.Loved ones are liabilities!

1. Those who date to please others. Several people fall in this category.I have had friends whom as soon as they join campus, look for hook ups be it boyfriends, same sex dating or even dating some close enough to be your grandpa. How do you even date someone who’s old enough to have taught your mom in primary school or even someone…

How do you even date someone who’s old enough to have taught your mom in primary school or even someone your dad rejected as a teen.Just because you are a youth doesn’t mean you have to do what everyone your age is doing.

2. Those who date for money extortion. Sugar daddies and mommies are everywhere trying to look for youths to sleep with . Psychology says these are individuals stuck in mid life crisis.

3. For growth purposes. This is normal to everyone who feels a need to get a loved. This is the most common form of dating. You may opt to date for marriage, getting children or more commitment.

So basically the reason why I wrote this post is to answer to the male specie that have been in need to engagin my ring finger.
Being a tall & a very busy lady. I hardly have time for leisure or any hobby activity.Always qm either at work, hustling or taking apart time studies. Am always out to network, blogging, studying, working. The last thing on my plan is to go clubbing, dancing or any other act that doesn’t add paper to my account.

Having being brought up in a polygamous family I know pretty much how hard it is to cope in such a marriage. I would date not such a man or one with such a background. I have a couple of men having interest in me but I have a couple of reasons why I keep saying NO!
1.They are short , am tall× Short people have a nagging personality , low self esteem & are too hyper.
2.They are after sex, am keeping it pure×
3.Brown type, aint in need of lightskin niggas problems

Nancy is independent I pay my own fee, maintain my locks retouch every fortnight, I literally cater for all my expenses. I criticise alot, have a rebellious soul & emotionally am distarched so the best I can do is empathise not sympathise.Above all she’s loving ask my friends around , the likes of Brian, Jeff, Pidorri, Ayuyo, Akello just to name afew.

All single guys are urged to apply

A Moment With Abscondittah

suspense aiysee

Denshispeaks

One look at her and one would think that she had her life all wrapped around her finger. She exuded the aura of an independent lady who stopped depending on anybody including their parent in their sweet sixteens. As a result, they have learned and matured through life in the most natural ways possible. At first glance, she was Sharon Mundia, Caroline Mutoko and Martha Karua. All bundled up in one body mass of a human being.

In fact within the first thirty minutes of conversing with her, I could tell that the three ladies were her role models. Sharon Mundia bringing in her fashion sense, Mutoko strutting into her life with her independence gospel with Karua surfacing on her face as the iron lady she is. Abscondittah.

The name, however, brought in a different picture altogether. Who calls their child Abscondittah unless she was a product of a burst…

Fucked up Generation Y

What’s it about generation that is positive? Afew things if not most. This is a group of persons with misplaced priorities “priorities upside down or is it downside up.” Instead of securing a career of one’s choice they opt to go out clubbing, smoking, doing drugs & lots of other negative leisure activities.

Talking of clubbing, who does that with sh 500? If you are broke enough not to afford drinks like Johny Walker, stay home and drink water. There’s no need drinking cheap liquor like amarula the whole week.I have friends who drink 1 bottle of spirit the whole night in a club, all it takes is just a single sip and a hour of dancing riddim. For my lady friends some leave home with only sh 20 fare to town. Being friends with bouncers is an added advantage as they get “free entrance to every club.” What follows is a broke chic seated in a club awaiting any guy to buy her a drink & pay her fare back home.To the unlucky folks the females elope after you buy them alcohol, the lucky ones however are able to eat the drunk chicken that night.

What’s the common generation Y trend? smoking the likes of sportsman.Real men and women do “embassy” just like my dad.
Guys out on fake versace attires, supra and condom shoes, shave box, mohawk, keep untidy dread locks and put on pencil trausers.
Ladies are not exempted, the kind that bleach, put on crop tops, have a “Lupita hairstyle” and has a gold-digging talent.

Is it possible to be different? unique? even as you undergo IDENTITY CRISIS.Yes and No,all it takes is being you without being influenced by trends, peers, internet or trying to fit in.You can still go to church and not club. You can still keep your worth without taking alcohol or smoking. You can still be wealthy without prostitution or any gold-digging tendency. You can still be a man without being a player or polygamist. All you need is to change your way of thinking.

aka Nyamrema instilled strict discipline to her kins, garandchildren and the great grand ones, religiously she nurtered us in strict catholic doctrine even though some left for pentecostal churches at adulthood.Oh! Have I mentioned of how her utensils would be cleaned ‘luok sufuria makata in inyanenrie’, to mean the sufuria should be spotlessly clean enough to enable you see your reflection in it.She was in deed a legend, living for 100+ years isnt easy in a world like ours when people think taking fries is the ‘in thing’,less they know its only sickness they are bringingupon themselves. She had been ailing for years with no one to take care of her, this was until she passed on in…
